Quantum Quasars Lab

Our project involves testing Bell’s inequality using telescopes as beacons for transmitting entangled photons. As the photons travel through free space, we leverage quasars, separated in time and space, as independent random number generators for various measurements. I developed Python scripts to automate the alignment of the telescopes and maximize transmission efficiency. These scripts employ multiple astrophotography and photonics packages, some of which I created from scratch using pyusb and ctypes.
