I am a quantum optics researcher interested in the intersection of light, information, and fundamental physics. I graduated with High Distinction from Harvey Mudd College with a Joint Major in Computer Science and Physics, where my senior thesis focused on building digital and photonic hardware for a Quantum Position Verification protocol. Through that work I developed experience in FPGA design, optical systems, and electronics, alongside software development for experimental control and data acquisition. I am drawn to problems where engineering and quantum physics meet.

Towards Demonstration of Quantum Position Verification at the Kilometer Range, Quantum Quasars Lab
Quantum InformationPhotonicsFPGAPython
Designed and built digital and photonic hardware for a 1-qubit, 2-oracle Quantum Position Verification (QPV) protocol. Developed FPGA programmable logic on a PYNQ-Z2 featuring a hardware PRNG, DMA-based data logging, and a custom Clock and Data Recovery module capable of accurate sampling up to 10 MHz. Integrated the system with a free-space wavelength-multiplexed classical link validated at up to 200 m. For the quantum channel, constructed electronically controlled single-qubit gates using the Pockels effect to prepare and measure BB84 states at megahertz frequencies, achieving polarization contrast ratios of 17.1 dB at 100 kHz. The work was awarded the 2026 Alfred B. Focke Award for the most noteworthy senior experimental physics research at Harvey Mudd College.

Quantum InformationPython
A project testing Bell's inequality using free-space optical links between telescopes, with quasars serving as independent random number generators. I developed Python scripts to automate telescope alignment and optimize transmission efficiency, drawing on astrophotography and photonics libraries — several of which I built from scratch using pyusb and ctypes.
